Hi Heidi,
In the statistic above, what’s the difference between ‘members’ and ‘professionals’?
Or is the 970,000 figure just the Australian members?
Regards,
Kelsey

Hi Kelsey, The term is used interchangeably, as it’s a professional networking site – there isn’t a difference between the two

Hi Heidi,
That’s what I thought – so the 970,000 figure is just AU?

A warning to companies thinking about how to use LinkedIn: my experience so far is that it is mainly used by recruiters to get in touch with me (and other colleagues) to offer us jobs elsewhere.
Personally this is flattering and perhaps helpful but if you have any staff that you want to keep, don’t encourage them to sign up.

The flip side is, a good company will keep staff, and LinkedIn can be used to promote what they do even further. I sense a debate in the making….
